The start at Beaver Reservoir.

Tight squeeze with the large packs.

The first mile or so was dry. Finally switching to skis.

We encountered several areas of dense forest.

Our objective comes into view at a clearing in the forest.

Skis work okay on grass too.

Right at treeline.

We dropped the packs and climbed up the ridge for a ways in order to ski a
bit before setting up camp.

We found a small patch of dry ground for our camp.

Early the next morning.

Ready to go.

Our path will take us into the basin to the right of center and then to the
saddle and up the northwest ridge.

Entering the basin.

Looking back down. Our start the day before was deep in the forest below.

Northwest ridge.

Climbing to the saddle.

Arriving at the saddle.

Remainder of the climb. We will hike on the tundra.

Skis back on the pack.

On the summit about 10:30.

Peter and his dogs take in the view.

Summit selfie.

Ready to ski. Luna was not interested in pictues.

Skiing!

Parting views on the way out.
